Jennifer Dempsey has worked in the Media and Advertising industry for over 20 years both as a business owner and an employee. She has held a variety of positions within the community newspaper business throughout the years ranging from senior managing editor to advertising executive. Her extensive experience gives her the knowledge she needs to find the perfect employee for her clients in this fast-paced and expanding industry.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from
Acadia University as well as practical media
experience as a result of playing an integral
role in the operation of an independently owned
and operated family-run newspaper business
in her hometown of Amherst, Nova Scotia. She
is a past member of the Atlantic Canadian Newspaper
Association, a member of the Professional Writers
Association of Canada, a veteran freelance
writer and a soon-to-be published author of
a non-fiction book based on a real life experience.
An entrepreneur in the past, Jennifer possesses
a grassroots understanding of the skills required
to be a successful businessperson in Atlantic
Canada today.
Jennifer's most recent venture as business
manager and publicist for a well-known Maritime
performer put her in touch with a number
of key players in the fast-paced and specialized
entertainment industry and provided her with
additional practical business experience
which enables her to build successful relationships
with both clients and job applicants.
